ICT Multimedia

This is a very innovative ICT course which is implemented in three levels namely Course one: Getting Connected, Course two: Digital Garage and Course three: Media lab. The courses are progressive starting from introduction to computers up to specialization in ICT Web design and development. Media Lab is the highest and the final level of training after which the graduates are linked to internship and employment opportunities in ICT related companies.

Entrepreneurship program

This course is design to introduce beneficiaries to the basic business ideas, actions and skills needed to successfully launch, lead, and grow a micro or small business enterprises. The entrepreneurship training engages trainees by using games, exercises, video clips, and case studies to clearly explain and break down complex business skills – from learning how to research the market to developing an effective sales pitch and obtaining start-up capital. These modules included some of computer-aided activities that teach trainees the basic business skills and technology know-how required to create and operate a business. The skills introduced on the computer are designed to be enhanced by face-to-face (f2f) activities led by a classroom facilitator and reinforced through hands-on, community-based activities. By the end of this course, the youth acquire useful skills to run their own businesses.

This course is designed as a first step toward helping to prepare youth seeking entry- level jobs for the workplace by developing the skills and knowledge that are essential for success. We recognize that entry- level jobseekers may enter this pipeline through a number of referral mechanisms. This core soft skills curriculum along with other additional components, including one on one supporting, mentoring and counseling, ongoing assessment and screening process, customized training, case management, career coaching and ongoing retention and advancement support will enable entry- level workers to not only demonstrate their readiness to successfully enter the workplace, but retain and advance in their positions.
